2014 was an extremly early harvest. It tied 1992 for the earliest I have done in the Santa Ynez Valley over the past 32 years. 75% of two blocks at McGinley are Musque clone as well as all of the Great Oaks. The Musque clone is very aromatic and develops ripe flavors at lower sugar levels which allows us to pick over a wider range of ripeness for more layered cmplexity.
