Product Description
The 2014 vintage for Sauvignon Blanc was warm, dry and early. Harvest began at the end of August on our warmest vineyards and concluded well before the appearance of late season rains. This harvest we looked to two particular vineyards in the Russian River Valley: Laguna Vineyard (65%) and MacMurray Estate Vineyard (35%). The Laguna Vineyard being our coolest site proved again to be the last Sauvignon Blanc harvested (October 10th) while the steeper hillsides and trapped afternoon warmth of the MacMurray Estate Vineyard provided impressive ripeness at a much earlier date (September 20th). Together, grapes from these vineyards complemented each other for a truly sublime Sauvignon Blanc.
