Product Description
his Zinfandel comes from the Clevenger Vineyard, located in the southern foothills of the Santa Lucia Mountains, in the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles. This head trained vineyard is over 40 years old and was started with clippings from the prestigious Ueberroth/Willpete Vineyard. The grapes were gently removed from their stems and sorted by hand. This fruit was then fermented in bins and punched down by hand three times each day. Upon completion of primary fermentation, the pomace was gently pressed using a basket press. The wine was then racked in to 59 gallon French oak barriques and 132 gallon French oak puncheons, where it fully completed malolactic fermentation and aged for 14 months.
