The Malbec in this wine is last of the wine we have from grapes harvested on Bear Mountain Ranch on the south shore of Lake Chelan. The land was sold and the vines pulled out and replaced with fruit trees last year. So this is the last of the wine we have from this wonderful vineyard site. Yes, we are heartbroken about it. So enjoy while you can. More bottles can be ordered but when it is gone, it is gone for good. Grapes were hand harvested, transported to the winery and lightly crushed the next day. The grapes were cold soaked for three days before inoculating with a commercial yeast . Using neutral oak for aging enhances the fruity nature of this wine. The wine was fermented in small open top fermentation bins, then cross-flow filtered before bottling.
