The 2011 Hartwell Estate Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, produced from our four-acre estate vineyard in Los Carneros, Napa ValleyÕs coolest and southernmost appellation. Crafted solely from the incomparable and highly aromatic Sauvignon Musque clone, the 2011 Estate Reserve Sauvignon Blanc expresses the floral and tropical characteristics unique to this prized clonal selection. Grapes are meticulously sorted to eliminate imperfections and then gently whole-cluster pressed. With a total production of 150 cases, this Southern Bordeaux-inspired release has been fermented in a combination of new French oak barrels and a concrete egg. The wine was then aged sur-lees for 18 months in 100% new French oak barriques.
