Product Description
A growing season that was very similar to 2007, but slightly cooler overall throughout the growing season. Harvest dates were typical with Merlot, but slightly later than normal for Cabernet, stretching slightly past the middle of October. Once again cold temps in the third and fourth weeks of October getting as cold as 25. No bud damage noted from this cold snap with is a pleasant note after cold weather in 2006 and 2007. Once again resulting wines have huge structure, depth and elegance, another great vintage. The name Terra Blanca, Latin for white earth, is named for the high calcium carbonate content that whitens soils of our Red Mountain vineyard and helps produce the incredible depth and structure in the grapes. The first grapes were harvested from our estate vineyard in 1997
